Another Seminary President Weighs in on the Alcohol Issue
Posted on July 9th, 2006 by Josh Powell
Dr. Paige Patterson, president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, has written a "First-Person" piece on the issue of alcohol. It is replete with Scripture and helpful observations. Dr. Patterson even includes a section on Scripture verses that the abstainers must reckon with. This is another helpful entry by an SBC leader in the discussion.
A very good, biblically sound analysis of the alcohol situation. It not only hit the scriptural, and logical end of the spectrum, but also taught the believer how to rightly apply it to one's life. I am encouraged!

SBC Witness,
I have posted an article entitled, "Baptists and Drinking: Drunkenness, not alcohol, is the problem," written by Benjamin Cole and published in the Dallas Morning News this past Saturday, July 15th. In the article, Cole criticizes Southern Baptists, the SBC’s recent resolution, the “fundamentalists†in the SBC, and teetotalers in general. Please enjoy the interesting read J and God bless!!!Â
In Christ,
