Creation Museum Surpasses Expectation

The USA Today recently ran an article detailing the overwhelming turnout the Creation museum has seen over its short, 6 month existence. Museum officials expect about 400,000 visitors by the end of the year, which is about 150,000 more visitors than was originally projected. Not bad.

Contrary to what many of you might think, the visitors are not just coming from the backwoods of Alabama (no offense). In this past week alone, the article said, there were visitors from France, Brazil, Japan, and Hong Kong.

Of course, not everyone is pleased with these developments.

Lawrence Krauss, head of the Center for Education and Research in Cosmology and Astrophysics at Case Western Reserve University, called the attraction's popularity "embarrassing."

I guess Lawrence Krauss won't be one of those 400,000 visitors. You can read the article here.

  1. I’ve been to the Creation Museum, and it is great. The evolutionists are having a fit, because someone has finally put together an exhibit that shows that the biblical creation account is more believable than the evolution stories being propogated in schools and museums; and even worse (in their opinion), the exibit is evangelistic. I applaud the work of Ken Hamm and the Answers in Genesis team.

  2. I applaud them with you Paul. I look forward to visiting the Museum soon. Thanks for the comment

  3. I was once a financial supporter of the Creation Museum while it was still in the building phase. I am no longer a Young Earth Creationist. As a YEC it was disturbing that the majority of the brightest scientific minds in Christianity rejected young-earth creation, such as Bill Dembski, Michael Behe, Jonathan Wells, William Lane Craig, etc. And of course CS Lewis fully supported evolution, as well as Francis Collins, who is a Christian and one of the most prominent scientists in the world today. The young-earth position is very hard to defend, which I believe is why we rarely see debates b/w YECs and old-earth creationists, or b/w YECs and evolutionists.
